WHY we do what we do!
Public transport plays a major role in the environmental policies of most governments, using public transport has huge environmental advantages over private vehicles. Public transportation use is one of the most effective actions individuals can take to conserve energy. Riding public transportation far exceeds the benefits of other energy-saving household activities, such as using energy-efficient light bulbs, adjusting thermostats, or using energy-efficient appliances.
PATW identified as an environmentally aware company that even more could be done to further enhance the green credentials of public transport. By taking a closer look at the bus stop and station infrastructure we have identified ways in which we can further enhance the green credentials of public transport and provide even more reasons why public transport should be used.
Traditionally public transport and advertising displays are constructed from heavy gauge steel, that require energy inefficient methods of reducing and removing heat and work at the limit of the internal component’s capability, this causes frequent component failures. We realised there was another way.
HOW we do it!
All our products are designed within the ethos of a circular economy. We use 100% recyclable materials where able and source locally to reduce material shipping impacts. The products themselves are designed to be low / no maintenance with extended longevity to reduce the lifetime costs for the user and more importantly the environment. The internal components are of premium quality and provide greater reliability, reducing the need for costly engineer visits. Many of our products benefit from being low powered and can be powered from renewable sources such as Solar and Wind power generation, which we have successfully incorporate into the design and installation. Our most environmentally friendly Installations require no mains power connection, reduce the time and complexity of the installation and benefit from no ongoing energy costs.

We provide a large range of internal and external display screens for public transport or advertising. Sunlight readable and IP / IK rated.
Lightweight yet robust these units provide an environmental saving in every aspect of the manufacture and use.
This alongside our forward-thinking shelter infrastructure design, can provide a completed hardware solution that delights our customers. The environmental theme is continued within the shelter designs using recyclable materials. Reusable power generation methods (wind & solar) and incorporates green roofs and living walls of plants into the designs, benefiting essential pollinating insects that are in global decline. Blue roof water collection and storage provide maintenance free watering in most circumstances. With shelter lighting and USB/wireless charging points for customer convenience.

SOLAR POWERED PASSENGER INFORMATION DISPLAYS
To compliment the bus as a sustainable mode of transport we have designed our displays capable of being powered by renewable energy, whilst still being sunlight readable. The internal battery has over two days of reserve energy capacity and can be powered from renewable sources such as solar and wind power generation. Our range of internal and external display screens for public transport, have been successfully deployed throughout the UK and work 24/7 365 days a year.

We provide a full range of indoor and outdoor digital signage along with bespoke design consultancy for one off product requirements. All built with our eye for detail, vandal resistive and suitably IP rated for the environment.
SOLAR CHARGE CONTROLLERS
Solar panels are a fantastic way to harvest the suns power but without storage of the power your equipment only works when the sun shines. Our solar charge controller takes the harvested energy and safely stores that within a suitable battery pack maintaining optimum charging and increasing the life expectancy of the battery so you will always have power when it is required.
SOLAR SYSTEMS COMPONENT SUPPLIER
Our proprietary solar charge controller coupled with our battery packs can provide an alternative to power provision and off grid storage. Widley used in bus stop infrastructure they can power lighting and display departure boards, 365 days a year.
